Sandip Patankar, Chandramohan Bahadkar and Manohar Vaidya, played this all time favorite song.
Immediately after the first song Jaya Stute, the trustees of the Vanikar Hall , arranged a short Pooja. We offered flowers at the lotus feet of Lord Ganesha and Maa Saraswati.

Aasmaan Pe Hai Khuda Aur Zameen Pe Hum

Veteran harmonica player Manohar Vaidya is a treasure trove of old Hindi movie songs. He not only plays the main song but also its prelude and interlude music. Here is a popular song sung by Mukesh which he played during the Sunday practice session of the Harmonica Club of Gujarat.

The good Boys

During their college days, both these good boys used to compete, as who would first play this beautiful song.
I do not know , for whom they wanted to play ............................
On the screen, the left one is very notorious, hard to control and the right one , totally opposite...
This is the HCG.

Suhani raat ...tum kab aaoge

When Yogesh Bhatt and Manohar Vaidya played this melodious song, we could see the audience totally being carried away. The music lovers started singing the song along with the performers.
Due to certain technical errors at my end I am not able to trim the videos properly from the entire cd. So pl bear with the incomplete videos.

Saz aur Avaaz : Part 2

The other day, we had a guest Mr. Salim malik, also known as Voice of Mukesh. Businessman Mr. Malik used to sing in his college days, and thereafter due to very heavy business load, left singing for many years.
Satisfied with the achievement in business, he decided to develop his forgotten hobby again after almost 20 years. He started with a professional training under Mr. Bhuprndra and now is a well known singer again.
He is invited by many business and corporate houses, private meetings etc.
Aditya and Manohar Vaidya accompanied Malik on their harmonicas.
That was a Funday !!!!

Unique blend of SAAJ and AWAAJ

On 7th March. 2010, Mr Sandeep Patankar a member of HCG accompanied with him his 2 aunts(father’s sister) at the Sunday practice session. Mrs. Kamal Thakar, an accomplished classical singer who performs occasionally as radio artist and stage shows, sang some old filmi compositions accompanied by her younger sister Mrs Asha Damle with harmonica being played by our maestro Vaidyaji. Mrs Kamal Thakar has graduated in music in 1962 from Khairagarh University -the only music university during those days with B.Music(Honours). She is married to Mr Srikant Thakar –himself a claasical singer belonging to a family of musicians, who was working with All India Radio and retired as Chief Producer. Mrs Asha Damle also sings as a hobby but has excelled as educationist- herlast assignment as the Principal of Dr Radhakrishna School –a renowned school at Borivali-Mumbai .Mr R G Patankar their –father was also a accomplished tabla and harmonium player who worked with Blind School for music and a Litho artist by profession.

Many Thanks to Mrs. Thakar and Mrs. Damle.

Hawa me udata jaaye : Manohar and manhar in action

Manohar and Manhar took off very smoothly to catch the 'lal dupatta' !!
There was a time when Manhar Majithia used to play the 'sionara song' , meaning the last song !!
Today he is playing in top ten, proving the fact that age has no limitations, if one really want to achieve something. Despite the reality of breath problems, he has brought himself up to this level.
As usual Manohar Vaidya ..up to the mark....

Master Blaster: Kavit Shastri

Kavit Shastri and Manohar Vaidya met just before the programme and decided to play this song together. His matured way of playing made all of us completely speechless and surprised. Just look at his body language, exhibiting very high level of self confidence.
HCG is very proud to have seven such Tendulkars who are yet to be properly introduced to the world of Harmonica.

Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya : Devansh Shah

Devansh has been improving day by day and also setting up an example to the entire new community of young children. I think these young kids will keep harmonica alive for many years. We always find young children stopping for a while with a surprise to know more about the instrument ' Harmonica '

Manohar Vaidya accompanied him and truly, the song was a super HIT in Nadiad.

Chaudavi ka chhand : Truely a man of melody

A man of melody as we call him, played this romantic song and all the senior citizens regressed themselves in to their love age.
Manohar Vaidya plays more than 300 songs WITH music, not only that he guides all of us even when we make mistakes. He would say "if you play like this it would sound better".
" Manoharji, you do not miss a single note, I am really very happy" Madan Kumarji said this about the melody man.....

Manohar Vaidya: Master of Melody

Manohar Vaidya has been playing mouth organ for over 50 years now, without break. In his earlier years, he had learned violin. He also plays keyboard without even looking at the keys. He is known for detailing. Members of the Harmonica Club of Gujarat are fortunate to have him as their guru who is ever ready to help everyone. The club is incomplete without him. You name a song, and Vaidyaji would play it to perfection.

Here is a masterpiece from him:
