By Major we understand something relatively great or bigger in size & by minor we understand some thing comparatively smaller in size or dimension. Scale means a unit of measurement. Major scale is an arrangement of notes in a particular ascending ( increasing ) order with certain value of frequency for each note. Similarly Minor scale is an arrangement of notes in a particular order with the increase oder of frequencies just like the major scale but with an exception that for some specific notes the frequencies are lesser as compared to their position in a Major scale.
